Client

Perth Anglican Archdiocese

Scope

With fretting Brickwork and failing mortar that had been repaired in several different materials and at different times in the building’s history, the exterior required extensive brick repair, compatible brick replacement with custom fired and shaped bricks produced specifically for arch and plinth profiles. Re-pointing with lime mortar was undertaken extensively.

Brickwork was cleaned and fretted faces repaired restoring the colour contrast of diaper design whilst inauthentic paint finish was removed from stringer course bricks.

Varied roof repairs that were unsightly from adjacent buildings had left persistent leaking requiring remediation. Investigation revealed asbestos containing material presence and a decision was made to replace the entire roof with Spanish Slate and copper flashings, gutters and roof plumbing.

Original Timber window frames were repaired and re-painted.
